Ingredients
  

Dough

  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp instant yeast
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil plus extra for coating
  • 0.75 cup warm water approximately 110°F

Garlic Butter Topping

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 2 tbsp Parmesan cheese grated
  • 0.5 tsp salt preferably fine sea salt

Instructions
 

  • Combine flour, yeast, sugar, and salt in a bowl. Add olive oil and warm water. Mix until dough forms.
  • Knead on a floured surface for 5–7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Place in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm spot for 45–60 minutes.
  • Punch down dough, roll into a rectangle, and cut into 12 strips.
  • Place strips on a baking sheet, cover, and let rise for another 20–30 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Brush with garlic butter. Bake 12–15 minutes until golden brown.
  • Brush with remaining garlic butter and sprinkle with Parmesan while hot.

Notes

For a vegan version, use olive oil instead of butter and nutritional yeast in place of Parmesan. For a crispier texture, bake 2 minutes longer.
